Want to be guaranteed UK teaching work before you leave?
Looking to travel and teach in the UK, and move around whilst doing it?? How about a GPS contract with the biggest education recruitment provider in the UK.
What is GPS?
GPS stands for Guaranteed Payment Scheme –it is a supply teaching based contract where recruitment consultants will find you 4 days of work a week, or will pay you 80% of your daily pay rate should they not be able to do so.
How long does it last for?
An initial period of 3 months in one location. You may choose to sign up in another city or rural location for the next 3 months –a great way to travel and move around the country!
Will I be teaching in one school?
No, although you may get blocks, you will ultimately be teaching in different schools. Although you will find yourselves working with about 5-10 schools on average you will get to know your schools well and will be the first in line when long-term posts are available. Many of our teachers find themselves placed long-term within 6-8 weeks of starting the contract!
Who can apply?
Any qualified and quality teacher looking to work and travel in the UK, with a flexible attitude and excellent references.
Sounds great – how do I apply?
Simply register a draft CV online and we’ll get things underway.
A great way to travel, play and earn money at the same time!
Working with the biggest education recruitment provider in the UK allows us to cover nearly the whole of England, please see below a snapshot of a few of the offices:
Huddersfield is a large, lively and very welcoming West Yorkshire town. As a University town it has a significant student population and there is no shortage of entertainment and amenities. A large UCI cinema, the Lawrence Batley theatre and the McAlpine Stadium, which hosts regular concerts as well as sporting events, mean that there is always a choice of things to do. In terms of nightlife there are a wide range of bars, restaurants and night clubs, not to mention traditional pubs.
Norwich has all the vibrancy of a major city, with none of the stress. Visitors can enjoy shopping at the 900-year-old market, an art nouveau arcade, new shopping mall and small specialist shops. There are lots of places for eating out, which cater for every budget and taste. The centre for arts and entertainment in the east of England, Norwich’s theatres and cinemas offer great entertainment. You are close to the gorgeous Norfolk broads and the East Coast of the UK is within 30 minutes reach.
Thurrock is situated in the South-West of Essex, and borders the North bank of the Thames. Thurrock is the ‘Gateway to London’ with easy access to both Kent & Essex via the M25 motorway & Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, the longest cable-stayed bridge in Europe. One of the best points about living and working in Thurrock is that it is very accessible to London (30-40min on the fast train to Fenchurch St), yet it is close to the sea and rural areas also. The best of both worlds!
We look forward to hearing from you… Please contact us for more information on any of the above mentioned locations, or to find out about which other areas covered.
