Am I qualified to teach in Australian schools?

Every state does things slightly differently in Australia, but in general, to teach in a school in Australia you must have the following:

• Teaching qualification from your home country recognised by the relevant State Education body
• Registered with the appropriate State Education body
• Current police clearance from your home country
• Eligible for an appropriate Visa allowing you to work in Australia
• 2 references from a leader in your school (eg HOD, principal, deputy)
• A well written CV
• Fluent in written and spoken English
