Am I qualified to teach in Australian schools?
Every state does things slightly differently in Australia, but in general, to teach in a school in Australia you must have the following:
- Teaching qualification from your home country recognised by the relevant State Education body
- Registered with the appropriate State Education body
- Current police clearance from your home country
- Eligible for an appropriate Visa allowing you to work in Australia
- 2 references from a leader in your school (eg HOD, principal, deputy)
