Live and Work in Australia

Australia is an extremely popular destination for highly skilled young people wishing to emigrate and start a new life in another country. The country's economy is strong and Australia is actively encouraging the immigration of skilled migrants. Skilled migrants wishing to work in Australia will be assessed on a points based system with points awarded for work experience, qualifications and language proficiency.

If you decide to emigrate to Australia, the first two priorities are arranging a visa and finding a job. Read more about Australian Visa options here which you need to arrange through the Australian Immigration Department. For your job search register your draft CV with Mi4Corners.

Australia is a large and diverse country but the majority of the population reside on the eastern side of the country in the main centres – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Other smaller cities include Canberra (the capital), Perth, Adelaide and Darwin.

Move to Sydney

The gateway to Australia, Sydney is renowned as a dynamic and cosmopolitan city, combining excellent business and education facilities with great leisure. Australia's oldest and largest city is set on one of the world's most stunning harbours, fringed by easy-to-reach, sandy beaches. Sydney Harbour separates the city into north and south, with harbourside villages, beachside suburbs and inner city areas full of life and their own distinctive character.

The city has a sunny, moderate climate which contributes to Sydneysiders' relaxed lifestyle and love of the great outdoors. Sydney has a dynamic arts and cultural scene. It is home to some of Australia's leading arts organisations such as Opera Australia, Sydney Symphony, Sydney Dance Company and Sydney Theatre Company and has produced many talented writers, film directors and performers.

Live and Work in Melbourne

Melbourne boasts great events, a passion for food and wine and a fabulous arts scene. Known as a style-setter, Melbourne is home to a non-stop program of festivals, renowned dining, major art exhibitions and musical extravaganzas. It is set around the shores of Port Phillip Bay. The city itself, laid out in a large rectangle and boasting a lively and cosmopolitan pulse, sits on the northern banks of the Yarra River, about five kilometres from the bay.

Emigrate to Brisbane

Brisbane is a diverse city - a green city with a perfect climate. It is a growing city with one of the fastest growing economies in Australia. It is a city of many small quirks from having their very own style of building (the ‘Queenslander’) to creating a swimming beach right in the middle of the CBD. The multicultural population has 21.7% of residents born overseas and 16% speaking a language other than English at home. Brisbane’s key sectors include information and communication technology, creative industries, life sciences, food & beverage, tourism infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics & distribution and aviation.
