Interested in teaching in extraordinary places like Botswana?
A fantastic overseas opportunity! Botswana is a remarkable place to work, live and teach. There are several positions - Primary, Secondary and Headships for immediate starts.
Palapye Kgaswe is a peaceful town with beautiful scenery and wild life, supported by a growing economy, situated to nearby towns and neighbouring countries. It is a small town, approximately half way between Gaborone and Francistown.
Palapye is earmarked by the government for a lot of development over the next 4-5 years. The power station and colliery are in the middle of a big expansion and the second university is currently being built in Palapye. With such exciting times we anticipate much growth within the school; it is a fantastic time to join this growing community.
The school we are currently recruiting for has plans to build a staff housing village over the next 5 years and many other expansion plans. With 520 children, of expatriates and citizens and 29 staff many of whom are from South Africa, it is a fantastic place to work and live, the staff are a closely knit community and provide a welcoming reception to any new arrivals. Following Botswana syllabus, similar to SA syllabus, the standards are high. The school has a full extra-mural programme which includes sporting contacts with other independent schools in Botswana. The school is a member of the ISASA (Southern African Independent Schools) and Conference of Heads of South Africa (SAHISA).
