Global Economy Won’t Double Dip says Goldman Sachs

5 September 2010

The world economy won’t slip back into recession as it benefits from growth in emerging economies in Asia, Goldman Sachs International Chairman Peter Sutherland said.

“I don’t think we are going to see a double-dip recession,” Sutherland, a former chairman of BP Plc, said yesterday in an interview with Bloomberg Television in Cernobbio, Italy. “We should look very constructively and positively at the continued dynamic from the Far East, India and China in particular.”
